If the error 'The device has been disconnected or is unavailable' is received, try the following;
- Try plugging the modem in to a different USB port. Allow a couple of miutes for the drivers to update.
- Uninstall and reinstall the modem driver \ connection manager software
- If the above doesn't work try uninstalling all the USB controllers.
Note: Please have all your USB hardware drivers available.
- Disconnect your modem
- Right Click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager.
- Right-click on each entry in 'Universal Serial Bus controllers' and choose "uninstall".
- Restart the PC. (Windows will reinstall the USB controllers)
- Re-connect the USB modem to the first USB port. Windows will initialise the device.
- If the device doesn't reinitialise try a different USB Port.
