Change the ZTE MF30 Access Point Name (APN) Settings

The instructions below explain how to manually change the APN settings for the ZTE MF30 WiFi Hotspot.

Changing the APN setting will only work on unlocked MF30 devices.

Note: Different mobile network operators supply customised variations in the connection manager software so the instructions below are for general guidance and may not be exactly correct

  1. Connect to your MF30 via WiFi
  2. Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1
  3. Login to the web manager (default password is under the battery)
  4. Select 3G Settings > APN Settings > Add
  5. Profile Name – Enter anything you want here e.g. Vodafone Profile
  6. APN Setting – select Manual APN
  7. APN - Your network operator’s APN
  8. Dial No.  - *99#
  9. Select Save as Default (make sure the new SIM is inserted otherwise the button is disabled)

Note: if the option to change the APN settings is greyed out try inserting the SIM card supplied with the device, this should enable the APN settings option.
