The instructions below explain how to manually change the APN settings for the ZTE MF30 WiFi Hotspot.
Changing the APN setting will only work on unlocked MF30 devices.
Note: Different mobile network operators supply customised variations in the connection manager software so the instructions below are for general guidance and may not be exactly correct
- Connect to your MF30 via WiFi
- Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1
- Login to the web manager (default password is under the battery)
- Select 3G Settings > APN Settings > Add
- Profile Name – Enter anything you want here e.g. Vodafone Profile
- APN Setting – select Manual APN
- APN - Your network operator’s APN
- Dial No. - *99#
- Select Save as Default (make sure the new SIM is inserted otherwise the button is disabled)
Note: if the option to change the APN settings is greyed out try inserting the SIM card supplied with the device, this should enable the APN settings option.
