By default the Vodafone R201 mobile WiFi is configured to automatically detect the correct APN settings. If the auto detect is unable to determine the APN settings from the SIM card they can be manually enterered.
Below are instructions on how to manually change the APN settings
Make sure your R201 is connected to a PC (using a USB cable) and the Vodafone Mobile Wi-Fi software has successfully installed.
- Open 'Vodafone Mobile Wi-Fi'' or open http://192.168.1.1 in a web browser
- Locate 'Vodafone Mobile Wi-Fi Setup' (top right)
- Enter admin password (By default the password is 'admin')
- Click Log In
- Click Mobile Broadband
- Using the drop down box next to 'Connection Settings:' select 'Manual' (bottom of list)
- Using the drop down box next to 'Connect Method:' select 'Automatic'
- APN - Your network operator’s APN (Click here for details)
- Phone Number - *99#
- Security - select 'Unencrypted Password (PAP)'
- User Name - Your network operator’s username (Click here for details)
- Password - Your network operator’s password (Click here for details)
- Confirm Password - Your network operator’s password
- Click OK
