Instructions to unlock the Huawei E583c (aka Wireless Pointer, WiFi HotSpot)
- Remove the SIM card from your MiFi
- Connect the MiFi to a USB port on your Windows PC
- Install the connection manager software (this should start automatically).
- Wait several minutes after the software has installed.
- Reboot the computer.
- Make sure the connection manager software is fully CLOSED, not just minimised!
- Complete the instructions in the email from Unlocked Dongle. (Purchase unlocking solution)
Troubleshooting Huawei E583c MiFi unlocking problems
- Insert a SIM card from a different network (you can use a phone SIM).
- Disconnect the USB cable then remove and replace the MiFi battery..
- Disbale The Huawei MiFi Wireless network card in Windows.
- Verify you have an internet connection (this can’t be through the E583c)
- Reboot the PC
- Connect the MiFi to a different USB port, allow a couple of minutes for the drivers to update.
- Close all open programs & temporarily disable any virus / firewall / security software you have running on your computer
- If you connect to the internet via a router, proxy etc try connecting directly to the internet or allow all outbound connections.
Note: Sometimes the unlocking software shows 'error code 21' even though the unlock has been successful !
