Unlocking the ZTE AC30, MF30 and MF61 Trouble Shooting

Note: The AC30, MF30 and MF61 are referred to as a ‘hotspot’ throughout this guide

1) Insert a SIM card from another mobile network provider (i.e. not from the network the device is locked to)
    2) Make sure the connection manager software that comes with the Hotspot is installed but fully closed before attempting to unlock.
Note: Some hotspot devices only install the driver, not the actual connection manager software
      3) Disconnect the USB cable then remove and replace the hotspot battery.
        4) Make sure the device is turned ON.
          5) Verify you have a internet connection (this can’t be through the hotspot)
            6) Disconnect the hotspot from the PC > Reboot the PC > Connect the hotspot to a different USB port > Allow a couple of minutes for the drivers to update > Retry unlocking

              7) Close all programs you have open and temporarily disable any virus / firewall / security software you have running on your computer.

              8) Only install software and drivers relating to the hotspot you're trying to unlock. Uninstall all software and drivers relating to other mobile broadband devices (e.g. modems, MiFis, hotspots, dongles, datacards) you have installed (if any) and reboot the PC.

              9) Disconnect any other modems or mobile phones that are connected to the PC.
