I'm just after unlocking and updating the dashboard on both a huawei E160 and a vodafone zte 3570-z. With both I've been able to connect to the internet via a meteor sim (Irish provider). However, with both I've met statements to the tune of "you are in roaming status" "it will cost more". I'm just wondering, is this supposed to happen and something to disregard? Or is it a problem seeing as I want to be able to use what were British dongles to access the internet here in Ireland?

Thanks in advance for any information.]]>

I have tried to unlock this Huawei E303 dongle but your software is unable to locate it. First I tried on my desktop (Win7 Ultimat). I have tried to follow your general instructions on the link provided, bot no luck. Drivers for the device were loaded since it was the first time I plugged it into my desktop. I shut down everything I could etc but still no luck.
Then I tried on my HP laptop with original simcard, no simcard and a different simcard, then a different USB input, but the unlock program still could not locate the dongle. By the way the laptop is the one I have used the dongle with in Indonesia where I bought it.
Can you point me in the right direction please, I am rather ignorant when it comes to the finer points of altering, recognizing, finding and working with different filenames etc.

Yours truly, Peter Banyai]]>

I have an unlocked Huawei E353 Three modem which works brilliantly on one laptop, (Vista), with an abroadband sim card and mobile partner 16.00.06.01.500 connection manager.

But if I try to use it on another machine, (running Windows 7) I just keep getting the error message “you can’t connect before register on an available network”.

Puzzled.

Thanks

Subject: Unlocked Vodafone Huawei 232 & Mobile Partner - by: bobzie http://www.unlocked-dongle.co.uk/Modems-Dongles-Datacards/245-Unlocked-Vodafone-Huawei-232-Mobile-Partner.html#245 http://www.unlocked-dongle.co.uk/Modems-Dongles-Datacards/245-Unlocked-Vodafone-Huawei-232-Mobile-Partner.html#245
I have looked at the document "How to replace a Huawei USB modem's Connection Manager with a Customised Dashboard" and it says that the connection manager software on the Vodafone modem is not based on Mobile Partner and must be replaced with a completely fresh copy of Mobile Partner. So, here's the question:

What files do I need to delete from the ISO image on the modem to get rid of the Vodafone software and where do I put the Mobile Partner (on the Root, in a specific folder)?

Any advice gratefully received.............................]]>

I did notice that, when i had the dongle connected online it does not get found by the software,
and when not connected to online it finds it....most of the time.

when i tried the unlock i was not connected online ( maybe this was the problem? )

However it does not say anything in the email i received about the fact that you have to connected online to do the unlock.

so i did a second attempt at unlocking it while online ( yet i first had to be off line for the software to detect my dongle )

then when the software had found my dongle, i connected online through the very same dongle i wished to unlock & tried again.

got this report the second time :
